Please read what two renown Kundalini Yoga Teachers, Amanbir Singh and Anne Novak, are saying about the practice.
What is Kundalini Yoga?
In 1968 Yogi Bhajan left India to bring to America the Yogic and Meditative Technology of Kundalini Yoga, which he mastered at age 16. He is one of four humanitarians to have received a joint congressional resolution by the United States Congress honoring his life’s work and teachings. The other recipients were: Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King and Pope John Paul ll.
Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan is considered the most comprehensive of yoga traditions, combining physical exercises, mudras, eye focus, breathing techniques, mantra & meditation. It is a Raj Yoga encompassing the eight limbs of yoga into a singular practice of excellence and bliss. Kundalini Yoga is more than 5000 years old. It is a proven technology* and it works for all ages and abilities.
The practice of Kundalini Yoga balances the glandular system, strengthens the nervous system, expands lung capacity and purifies the bloodstream. It brings balance to the body, mind and soul and enables you to harness the energy of your mind and emotions, so you can be in control of yourself, rather than being controlled by your thoughts and feelings. It is on-the-job-training for success and excellence in life, and is designed to give you a “hands on” experience of higher consciousness. From this place of higher consciousness, we make choices and decisions that serve our higher self. Kundalini Yoga teaches positive self-empowering attitudes of thinking, and builds inner strength and self-awareness so you can fulfill your highest potential.
Kundalini Yoga is not a religion, has nothing to do with beliefs, and is not a substitute for religious practices. Applying the technology to our bodies and minds has the effect of uplifting our spirit. It works from within, energizing our normally dormant spiritual energy—–the Kundalini. The effects are profound and universal. It can help us find God, but in a non-denominational way. Regular practice will make you a better Christian, Jew, Muslim or whatever you aspire to be. Whatever your beliefs, the end goal is the same. Life is not about being identified with a label. Life is about being divinely you.
*Technology……Definition is “the application of science.”
