All teachers at O’Shea Yoga are highly trained and certified yoga teachers. In addition, all of our Kundalini Yoga teachers are KRI certified.
Her yoga journey began 14 years ago after she became introduced to yoga through an adult education program. She thought yoga would be easy and relaxing and help alleviate stress and provide a compliment to her usual workouts. She was hooked from day one, and the practice has become a daily part of her physical and spiritual life.
After studying with amazing teachers, she became inspired to get her yoga teacher certification. Each time she steps on the mat, she discovers more about herself, some days it’s strength and some days it’s laughter. She loves to integrate breath and movement with a positive spiritual outlook. She believes yoga is a simple everyday tool to heal our bodies and awaken our spirits.
Dee (Dolores Andalkar) has dedicated herself to the practice, study and teachings of yoga for over 15 years. Her enthusiasm has led her to the roots of this ancient wisdom where she studied yoga and Ayurveda (sister science of yoga) in Pune, India. Inspired by the teachings and a desire to serve others, Dee’s goal is to help her students find and maintain peace of mind, body and soul. It is her greatest hope that this beautiful practice will help those in need, as it has helped her find her way many times.
Dee is a Kundalini Yoga Level 1 200-hour Teacher through Aquarian Yoga Center and a 280-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher through Yoga Synthesis. She received her Yoga Therapy and Ayurvedic Massage training in Pune, India. She is also a Licensed Massage Therapist through the JSG Massage School New Jersey.
Sabrina is a 200 hr. RYT with Yoga Alliance. She has a background in dance and has always craved movement as an expression of the soul. After getting certified Sabrina started teaching and developed a passion for helping students and creating connections with other passionate Yogis who also feel like Yoga has changed their lives. Her background was working in finance in New York City, but once she discovered the access to peace that Yoga gave her she stepped into her truth and the course of her life changed. Yoga has assisted Sabrina in appreciating the little things in life, better physical performance, and finding the balance in all things.
Karen's journey started over 20 years ago as a participant in a local gym's yoga class. She loved the way the yoga postures, breath work and meditation made her feel and decided that she wanted to share her passion by becoming a yoga teacher. In 2007, she earned her teacher certification and has been teaching at least two yoga classes a week ever since!
Over the years, she developed a style of teaching which allows all levels of students to enjoy her classes, whether an entry level beginner or a well-seasoned yoga practitioner.
Recently, she has found a new passion for the Ancient Chinese art of Medical Qi (chi) Gong (kung), which like yoga, uses movement, meditation, breath work and self-massage to move energy to improve how you feel. She has combined the practices of yoga and Qi Gong to create her own signature class, “Feel Good Yoga Fusion”, which is a combination of yoga and slow-moving Qi postures, breath work and meditation to improve your health and increase your energy levels.
She is blessed to be surrounded by her wonderful family, friends and amazing teachers, who miraculously appear whenever she is ready to move forward on her own spiritual journey and enlightened path. With a grateful heart and soul, she bow's to all with gratitude.
Upon her yoga training graduation, she was given the
name Amrita, which in Sanskrit means “Immortal Nectar of the Gods”
