Kathryn has been practicing yoga for more than a decade and began practicing Kundalini yoga seven years ago. Kathryn completed her Level 1 200-hour training to become a KRI Certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher with Gurudass Kaur Khalsa at Aquarian Yoga Center. She has also completed the Level II course in Conscious Communication.
A breast cancer survivor, Kathryn has found Kundalini yoga to be an inspiring source of courage, trust and joy. A writer for many years and the author of the memoir Yin, Yang, Yogini: A Woman’s Quest for Balance, Strength and Inner Peace, Kathryn blogs frequently for the Kundalini yoga music website SpiritVoyage.com. Her spiritual name, Harjot Kaur, means “light of the creative Divine.” She is also a practitioner of Iyengar and Vinyasa yoga and is deeply grateful to all her teachers.
